Greetings Beer & Travel Lovers! In this, our final blog article, we say our goodbyes and share with you a few of the best German beers we’ve enjoyed over the years on our Munich & Bamberg Brewery Tours. Time to Say Goodbye Due to the expanding Covid-19 health crisis, and with no discernible end in sight, it is with mixed emotions we’ve decided to permanently shut down our tour operation business. The past 5 years have been an incredible experience and we’ve had the opportunity to meet many great people on our tours who share our passion for beer and travel. However, the global health crisis along with an uncertain timeline for resuming safe travel have convinced us that it’s time to move on to new adventures. This has not been an easy decision for us, but the one constant in life is change and we're ready to embrace it. PLEASE NOTE: Our website will be available through January 10, 2021 so feel free to browse it if you love beer and are looking for ideas for a future trip to Bavaria. Our email (gene@originalgravitytours.com) will also be functional until Jan. 10th, so if you’d like some tips about breweries and beer-related activities in Bavaria, shoot us an email and we’ll try to help you out. Best Beers of Bavaria We couldn’t just say goodbye and leave you empty handed, could we? Of course not! So as our part of our farewell, we’ll share with you a few of our favorite German beers (Bavarian actually) that go well beyond the typical German Lager and which you’ll want to try before your beer drinking days are over. Of course, there are many other exceptional beers we could have shared with you, but we wanted to share a variety of different beer styles that are generally available in the U.S. A few may require a trip to Bavaria to find, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, is it? Note, these beers are listed in alphabetically order by brewery name and not in order of preference. Prost! In parting, we want to say thank you to all of you who have joined our tours over the years, and we wish everyone the best for staying healthy and safe. Goodbye and best wishes!
